Lately my music playlist has consisted of all the new releases from mainstream artists such as Future and Gucci, and while I'm getting my life, one can only trap so long before needing a different sound. Luckily for me, I had early access to the new EP Not Just Me, by the group Sound of Mind, so in between my Future fixes, I'd give Not Just Me a listen. It wasn't long before I found myself humming and singing some of the songs.
I'm a very vibey person, so the music I listen to often reflects how I feel. This is the perfect EP to add to a Sunday playlist. The message in the music is inspiring and easily relatable, something you can listen to around the whole family. The music itself sounds well thought out and exceptionally crafted.
My personal favorites are Not Just Me, Once Again (the music so nasty) and the Queen's Interlude ( the lyricist is crazy and I wanted to hear more!)
Overall, Not Just Me is a really good, solid project and because the group works so well together I'm interested in seeing how far they go, not just as a group but as solo artists as well. If you're looking to freshen up your playlist, I would definitely recommend giving this EP a listen! You will not be disappointed. You can download the EP here. Or give it a play on soundcloud.
